Proof of Academic Standing

  • We require copies of secondary school and or university transcripts
  • Transcripts must be translated in English and be notarized
  • If this is your final year of secondary school or college or university, a letter indicating your
    academic standing and completion should be attached in your registration

  • You must pass an Ontario Secondary School Diploma equivalent assessment test
  • Pass English Proficiency Test

  • Our tuition is broken down into installments:
    • The first installment which is half of the tuition. This will allow you to receive the
      acceptance letter. This amount is refundable except for the Administrative Fees of CAD
      450.00
    • The remaining balance is payable within the first year (1st)

Module 3

Business Communication II is a continuation of Business Communication I that will focus on language skills, boost and improve presentation confidence through evaluated performance. Students will be able to strengthen their writing skills to construct detail-oriented, informative business letters, reports and proposals, compose and perform presentations for evaluation.

Module 4
Excel Advanced

There is an extremely high demand for employees skilled in Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel is a frequently used program in for many businesses whether local or global. Attending this course, you will gain the knowledge, skills and experience to use intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel. It is assumed that the student has completed BTT’s Excel Beginner -Level I course prior to enrollment in this course.

Module 5
Accounting Fundamentals & Information System 1

Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of accounting concepts. Using theory, practical and various accounting software, students will learn to prepare and provide records of finances that will communicate economic events of an organization to entrusted users. Students will be trained with the skills and knowledge that are required to become a bookkeeper. Upon completion of this course, the participants will become aware of the full accounting cycle and the equation: A= L + E.

Module 6
Accounting Fundamentals & Information System 2

Following the prerequisite, Accounting Fundamentals and Information Systems I, this course advances students in the knowledge, skills and concepts of bookkeeping and accounting.

Module 7
Cost Accounting 1

This course looks at the traditional as well as the most current practices in cost accounting. Students will learn to appropriately apply cost accounting methods in a variety of organizational settings. to achieve this goal, students must be able to develop professional competencies, such as strategic/critical thinking, risk and analysis, decision making, ethical reasoning, and communication.

Module 8

Students will advance their knowledge and competencies to make better business decisions using strategic and critical thinking along with risk analysis, ethical reasoning and communication.

Module 9
Financial Risk Management

Financial Risk Management is of increasing importance for the expansion and success of any business. Risk management is concerned with how a new venture fits into the company’s portfolio, the correlation of the performance of the new venture with the rest of the company’s business, and the ability of the new venture to provide successful returns or negative effects on the business. This course focuses on the risk management function’s primary responsibility to understand the portfolio of risks that the company may take and the risks it plans to take in the future then understand the basis upon which to calculate whether the risks are acceptable or unacceptable, and the action(s) that should be taken.

Module 10
Organizational Behavior

Companies must have a competitive strategy to achieve success. The success of every strategic plan is highly dependent on the manner in which a company coordinates its internal processes, including operations, suppliers, customers, products, production and services that provide value. A successful operations strategy comes from careful management and coordination to create a smooth process. This course will define the functions and processes that fit into a company’s strategic design to help gain a competitive edge.

Module 11
Financial Modeling (Excel VBA)

In this course, the student will be introduced to the tools used to enable analysis of how a business will react to various economic situations or events and to estimate the outcome of financial decisions before the business commits and delegates funds. The students will learn to use the financial model to assess the viability, stability and profitability of a business, create and use VBA for faster, accurate, reliable forecasting and financial decision making in business.

Module 12
Management 1

Management requires planning, strategy, teamwork, communication and preparation. This course will introduce the essentials of management as they apply within the contemporary work environment, the global dimensions of management as in ethics, social responsibility and sustainable development, and the planning processes, techniques and strategies of management.

Module 13
Management 2

Management II, a continuation of Management I, focuses on the organizational structures and designs, leaders and operations of companies whether local or global.

Module 14
Database Management

Students enrolled in this course should have completed Advanced Excel. A database can store thousands of records. This course will offer learners the skill of manipulating big data, using queries, retrieving records, updating and storing records, securing and recovering records. Students will learn how to work with database management systems (DBMS) to access directly, enter, organize and select data within a database.

Module 15
Taxation & Information Systems

As an accounting or bookkeeping professional you should know how to prepare personal and self-employed tax returns. Students will gain knowledge of principles and fundamentals of Canadian the Tax system. They will learn the differences between Federal and Provincial taxes for personal and self-employed /small business tax returns. This course assumes that students has no prior tax knowledge. Using theory, practical examples and software, you will acquire the skills, knowledge and experience to prepare personal and self-employed tax returns.

Module 16
Corporate Tax

This course will give you the required skills, knowledge and experience to prepare Corporation (T2) Tax return. Using a combination of theory, practical and tax software you will learn about the forms, schedules and slips that are required to complete the T2 tax return. You will learn to calculate federal income tax and credits for the tax return. Students must have good understanding of accounting, such as being able to read and interpret the company’s financial statements. Accounting Fundamentals and Information Systems II is a prerequisite of this course.

Module 17
Contemporary Business

This course will provide students with a foundation upon which to build a greater understanding of current business practices and issues that affect our lives such as the internet and social/digital media that has changed social behavior. The course will also focus on globalization and its effects on Canadian businesses and competition; changes in the production of tangibles and intangibles, the use of automation, outsourcing unskilled/skilled labour to low-cost countries.

Canadian Professional Office Procedures

Today’s professional office environment is reliant on an efficient mixture of people and technology. Reliance on technology for speed and accuracy continues to increase in offices, hence, the role of the office professional has evolved. Today’s office requires various levels of operation and knowledge both in soft skills and technological to run smoothly and efficiently. This course offers students the knowledge and experience they need to function within an office environment, identify their employability, gain experience with the use of Project Management software and how to interact with co-workers and a diverse group of people in an office environment.
