Computerized Accounting and Payroll Administration Program (CAP) combines accounting with information technology. CAP provides a solid foundation in accounting principles and practice using software such as QuickBooks, SAGE 50 (Simply Accounting), SAGE 300 (ACCPAC), and ProFile. The course content are a mixture of concepts and practice of accounting and you will learn to prepare financial documents and financial reports using the software. Moreover, the program will prepare students for the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) examination.

Students will be able to:

• Differentiate between various accounts
• Understand normal balances (Debits & Credits)
• Post journal entries
• Prepare financial statements
• Master accounting principles
• Know and understand the rules of and regulations of Canadian Payroll and prepare personal, self-employed, and Corporate tax returns

BTT’s smaller classroom sizes allow for hands-on, one-on-one, step-by-step instructions in a learner-oriented environment. Included in this program are: Business Math, Business Applications, Accounting Fundamentals and Information Systems; Payroll Administration and Information Systems, Taxation and Information Systems, and Lab and Simulation practices.
