Students will learn Accounting concepts and focus on various aspects of accounting principles and theory, using accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAGE50 (Former 'Simply Accounting') and SAGE300 (Former 'ACCPAC'). Classes will be a mixture of concepts and practice.

Accounting software will be used to post entries, preparing financial documents and prepare financial reports.

We will discuss Canadian Payroll's rules and legislation that will prepare student to pass an external exam from Canadian Payroll Association (CPA).

Course outline includes: Business Math, Business Applications, Accounting Fundamentals & Information Systems, Payroll Administration & Information Systems, Taxation & Information Systems and Lab and Simulation practices.

Graduates of this program may find career opportunities in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, as an Accounting Clerk, Tax Preparer and/or Payroll Administrator
