Financial Accounting:(Bookkeeping) Level I

A manual accounting course that implements the understanding of applications, processes and generally accepted accounting principles in Canada that focuses on the full accounting cycle (A = L + E).

• Journal entries
• Debits and credits
• Preparation of financial statements

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
• Basic mathematics

Financial Accounting:(Bookkeeping) Level II

Continuation of level I with an In-depth examination of applications and processes of generally accepted Accounting Principles in Canada:

• Fund management, payroll processes, and reconciliation of trial balance to sub-ledger accounts
• Basic cost, business performance matrix and evaluation.
• Generating reports from QuickBooks, i.e. Accounts Receivable Summaries

QuickBooks Level 1

Are you an accounting professional and wants to improve your career? Then taking QB1 is a must. As a bookkeeper learn to manage the business day to day finances using QuickBooks accounting software.

Over the duration of the course an experienced instructor who is Certified with QuickBooks Desktop and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor will teach you to navigate and manipulate QuickBooks to make journal entries, enter accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, inventory / services transactions, remit sales tax, payroll and bank reconciliation.

QuickBooks Level 2

Prepare financial statements including the Trial Balance. Export these reports to Microsoft Excel. Beyond the reporting, Setup User Security and Permissions, a Company creating the Chart Accounts from scratch, Capital Assets, Classes, Jobs, Price Level and Budgeting.

SAGE50(Simply Accounting)

Optimized for small and medium sized businesses

• Geared to Accounting professionals, this software will help you manage company’s financial transactions and business tasks.

SAGE300(ACCPAC)

This course is designed for new or novice users who want to learn to use SAGE Accounting Software.

• Setting up the General Ledger of SAGE 300 accounting system that meets the specific needs of an organization; establish a multi-segmented chart of accounts, and record journal entry transactions.

COMPUTERIZED ACCOUNTING PROGRAM

With 3 accounting software programs included in this program, students will acquire knowledge of the 3 major accounting software programs used in Canada and a certificate is issued upon completion of any of the three courses. Upon completion of all three courses in this program, a diploma will be issued.

Computerized Accounting and Payroll Admin

Using various Accounting, Tax and Payroll software, the Computerized Accounting Diploma Program prepares the student for an accounting career.

• Uses accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAGE50 (Former 'Simply Accounting') and SAGE300 (Former 'ACCPAC'). Classes are a mixture of concepts and practice.
• Accounting software will be used to post entries, preparing financial documents and prepare financial reports.
• Discussion of Canadian Payroll's rules and legislation in preparation for the external exam from Canadian Payroll Association (CPA).

Course outline includes: Business Math, Business Applications, Accounting Fundamentals & Information Systems, Payroll Administration & Information Systems, Taxation & Information Systems and Lab and Simulation practices.
